Romance in the Countryside

Generally speaking farmers and country folk tend to be more of a practical nature than a romantic one, so Valentine’s Day in the countryside can often come and go without any romantic gestures.

This year let’s try to be a little different, although it doesn’t have to be limited to Valentine’s day. We country women still like a bit of romance, even when we are ankle deep in slurry .. although that may not be the best moment to present us with flowers.

The good news for you country men is that we are just as happy with small romantic gestures as large expensive ones (now that got your attention didn’t it).

If you are not of a romantic nature then get on over to my dating tips blog and have a rummage round for some suggestions.

Of particular interest to people in the countryside would be my suggestions for 4 fun outdoor dating ideas with a difference and 10 inexpensive valentines day gestures .. not that I am suggesting country men are cheap but these days who has spare cash to splurge very often.

Try to be a little different this year, having a wash up and taking her to the local pub for a meal probably isn’t all that different to the average Saturday night .. particularly if like me your local is a pub full of ex’s it really is hard to feel romantic with the ex at the next table.

Whether you have been together for fifty years or a month, it’s worth letting her know how much you care about her .. for a start you might get your favourite supper cooked this week.

And ladies it isn’t just the men that need to forget day to day life sometimes and show some appreciation for their partner, get your wellies off, slap some make-up on and cook his favourite supper .. especially if he even remembered it is valentine’s day.

If you are dating someone you can’t be with then try just sending an e-card, I have trawled the net and picked the best free valentines romantic ecards that any lady would be pleased to receive.

Even if my husband and I have been together for so long, we still find time to spend romantic time together, like for a weekend getaway. And for us, being close to nature is much more romantic.
