I have seen all but Ladyhawke and LOT Mohicans….I enjoyed all but Titanic which was, IMO, hugely overblown and over-rated.

I would add “Out of Africa” …one of my all-time favourites, a film where one needs to take lots of deep breaths, asking “What NEXT?”

Thanks for posting. As a guy I can say I have watch a couple of the above movies (Titanic, Shrek and Four Weddings and a Funeral) I found them quite good so guys just give them a chance and at least you get to spend time with your loved one

Last of the Mohicans has a very romantic strain running through it … can any woman forget when Daniel Day-Lewis says “I’ll come back for you” .. gosh your heart just skips a beat because you know he will or die trying.

Never watched A Good Year but will give it a watch, thanks for the recommendation.

Four weddings and the funeral is a must see film and my hubby enjoyed watching the film as well.

Some of these are pretty good, although being a guy I think a couple of them I have seen and didn’t get a real romantic vibe from them (Last of the Mohicans seems pretty bloody and depressing for date night, fabulous movie to toss beers back to though…)

I would recommend (and one that I bought) is A Good Year. It was made in 2006 and has Russell Crowe and Marion Cotillard in the leading roles. If you haven’t seen it, rent it now, you won’t regret it.

Mostly I agree, but I draw the line at Titanic I’m afraid… that was pap. A lesser known film I’d recommend for a ‘snuggle night in’ would be ‘Map of the Human Heart’. Not seen Ladyhawke so I’ll check that out
