I know Christopher is “Willy Roys” and Ann James is the person money is being passed through. They would have had a panic when they saw their scam showing up on here.

Ann is an fbi agent??!! Quite frankly this Ann seems to be in the US so if I was a victim I would be looking for other victims of this gang and go to the fbi as a group .. there is little they can do about overseas scammers or about one person losing £4,000 but a group of victims and a scammer in the US is another matter.

Sally, Everything you said about Willy is so true! You need to watch out for Christopher Barber’s name also. He uses it too. Thomas Crook is another. They even go to the extreme of having fake documents provided for you. Also, the Shrevport,Lousianna is where his (fbi)(wanna be) agent works too. Ann James is her name. So watch out for her too. It is quite funny that there is a Ann and Christopher that has commented on here.Makes you wonder????

Thanks for your comment and I understand your feelings about the photo used. The photo actually comes from Reuters and was intended for public consumption in news articles.

My hope is that it will warn potential victims not to believe that they are speaking to a soldier simply because they receive a photo of one and soldiers will begin to understand they need to protect their online images from potential misuse.

it really is quite an awful thing to do to con people in this way. I do think you should have asked the permission of the soldier you pictured though. Had you used my photo I would be really angry.

No he is not in KY or the army, he is in Benin, Nigeria.

Someone has been trying to leave comments using the name Sally (pretending to be you) and asking a certain someone to contact them on a yahoo address …. I wasn’t born yesterday so have deleted them.

Sgt. Willy Roys can be mad all he wants. But I felt that it was me who went to the news to warn others about him or anyone else. If he is really with the army then he needs a clue and deserves what he gets to loss his job. But u said he was not in KY anyway. If he was in KY then he didnt need money to get him back to the states then. I’m well perphare for him to have me arrested because it wont be me it will be him. I have my documention of emails and IMs and receipts of when the money was sent to *** *****. If there is and *** ***** then she can give me my money back. But we all know that there is no one. This is all a scam.

You are quite welcome. The anger and threats are typical tactics, if you question their honesty they immediately explode and I mean over the top explode … 9 times out of ten the victims then try to calm them down and bingo they’ve got you hooked again.

Don’t fall for it ladies, if they get angry over something silly then let them and just walk away. For a start if someone is going to get that angry over the internet what would they be like in real life?

Thank YOU Sally! You busted Sgt Willy Roys of the US Army. He was contacting me along with several other women saying that we were denting his name. He threatened to have whoever speaks of him arrested for ruining his reputation because he could lose his job in the army. Um, he is the one trying to con women and lying about where he is and that he is a soldier. All we are doing is learning how not to be hurt and used by these scams. You know it’s pathetic when a scammer scams so many people that they start looking up sites about scams to see if people are talking about them. Well yes, we are Sgt Willy Roys. Your site is a great resource Sally.

Hi Sally thanks for the heads up. All I really want to do now is move on with my life. I learned a lesson and it was a hard pill to swollen. But at least I didnt lose evrything. If there is a Real Sgt Willy Roys I feel for him because his repution is being destoryed. I can’t go any were with out people looking and staring at me and thinking or saying how dumb and stupid i was to sent money to someone I never meant. We all have hard times but to be so curl to take advangtage of the kind heart people is sick. I’m now trying to move on with my life.
