I really like your “learn a language suggestion”.

When you live apart, you both have different worlds outside of when you are together or talking or conversing in some other manner.

But learning a language creates a new connection or bond between you that is unique and can be built upon to strengthen the relationship.

And the more you work on it, the stronger the connection becomes.

of course there must be trust, as there must be in any relationship but even more so in long distance relationsips. This is whee communication becomes paramount because it’s so easy for one partner to feel neglected

This has been a very unique suggestion for those you have a long distance relationship. But for me even though you have all this kind of communication, long distance relationship will not work if you dont have trust to each other.

Well we now have Skype which is a great way to talk voice to voice for free. I get what you are saying though. You can still be romantic and imaginative. You can actually communicate everyday with your long distance partner through texting. It’s cheaper.
