These are such lovely ideas. Christian and I have been together just over 6 years, and have only had the pleasure of 13 weeks of that in person. Love is possible even when its not practicle. We are getting married next summer on our 7 year anniversary of our first date.

Great post, I too had a long distant relationship. I agree about the post, one of the best ways I found to keep love alive was good old fashioned letter writing, much nicer than receiving emails & texts & nice to keep hand written letters rather than a print out.

This is a great post! I actually ran across it while looking for gift ideas for my boyfriend as it gets closer to Valentine’s Day. We’ve been in a long-distance relationship for 8 months now and it does get hard at times. We’ve spent just over a week together (total) since we got together, but we find ways to keep in contact everyday. I like the idea of swapping clothes…I may suggest that!

Even though long distance relationship have gathered a bad name in this society, I agree with you in that they can work if you put in the effort.
