Gone forever is that personal touch that only a local store can provide! I remember about 20 years ago Asda opened a superstore near to our old home. My father insisted on still shopping for daily essentials at the local village shop. 6 months later some numpty knocked on our door asking us to sign a petition to stop the local shop closing ... Dad gave him a right earbashing and said it's because YOU have been shopping at the superstore that it's closing!!
